DOHO WELLNESS CLINIC offers paramedical life insurance exams — health history, manual blood pressure and pulse, height and weight, blood draw, urine specimen, and EKG tracing when ordered — performed at the clinic in Donna or mobile up to 100 miles from Donna across the Rio Grande Valley, by appointment. Exams are ordered through your insurance company’s paramedical exam provider; the applicant pays nothing at the visit.

DOHO WELLNESS CLINIC performs life insurance (paramedical) exams at our Donna clinic or at your home or workplace anywhere in the Rio Grande Valley. Exams are done by a board-certified nurse practitioner with more than 12 years of nursing experience.
What the exam includes
- Health history questions about your medical background.
- Vital signs: blood pressure, pulse, height and weight.
- Blood draw using the lab kit from your insurance company’s exam provider.
- Urine sample.
- EKG, only if your insurance company requires one.
Most exams take 15–45 minutes.
How it works
- Your insurance company or agent orders your exam. Ask them to schedule it with DOHO WELLNESS CLINIC, or text us at 956-338-2875.
- We confirm a day and time at the clinic or at your home or office.
- Bring a government photo ID and a list of your medications and doctors.
- We complete the exam and send the samples and paperwork to the insurance company’s lab. Results go to your insurance company.
Tips before your exam
- Follow any fasting instructions from your insurance company (often 8 hours, water is fine).
- Avoid caffeine, nicotine and hard exercise for a few hours before your exam.
- Drink water so the blood draw and urine sample are easier.
