Instant Drug Test in Donna, TX: Non-DOT Results in Minutes

Need a drug test result today, not next week? Doho Wellness Clinic offers instant non-DOT drug tests in Donna, TX, with results in minutes. We serve employers, families and individuals across the Rio Grande Valley (RGV), including Weslaco, McAllen, Pharr and Mercedes, by appointment.

What is an instant non-DOT drug test?

An instant drug test (also called a rapid or point-of-care drug screen) checks a urine sample for common drugs and gives a result in minutes, while you wait. It is a non-DOT test, which means it is for employers, programs and people who are not required to follow federal Department of Transportation (DOT) testing rules.

A negative result is ready right away. If a screen is not negative, it is treated as a preliminary result, and the sample can be sent to a certified laboratory for confirmation before anyone makes a final decision.

Who chooses an instant drug test?

  • Employers hiring fast. Start a new hire the same day instead of waiting for lab results.
  • Staffing agencies and contractors who need to place workers quickly.
  • Landlords and property managers with screening requirements.
  • Court, probation or program requirements that accept a non-DOT screen (check with your program first).
  • Parents and families who want private peace of mind.
  • Anyone who simply doesn’t want to wait days for an answer.

Why get an instant result?

  • Speed: results in minutes, before you leave.
  • Less downtime: new hires can start sooner, and you avoid back-and-forth trips.
  • Privacy: a calm, appointment-only clinic, not a busy waiting room.
  • On-site option: for employers, we can come to your business for group testing anywhere up to 100 miles from Donna.
  • Lab backup when needed: a non-negative screen can go to a certified lab for confirmation.

What about DOT drug tests?

If you drive a commercial vehicle or work in another DOT-regulated job, federal rules require a DOT drug test that is sent to a certified laboratory and reviewed by a Medical Review Officer. DOT drug tests are not instant. We collect DOT drug tests too. Learn more on our drug testing page. Not sure which test you need? Ask your employer, or send us a request and we’ll help you figure it out.

DOT Physicals in Donna, TX: A Simple Guide for Commercial Drivers

If you drive a commercial motor vehicle, your medical card is just as important as your CDL. Doho Wellness Clinic in Donna now offers DOT physicals for commercial drivers by appointment, on weekdays and weekends. Here is what to expect so your visit goes quickly and you can get back on the road.

Who needs a DOT physical?

Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) rules require most interstate commercial drivers to pass a DOT physical and carry a current Medical Examiner’s Certificate. This usually includes CDL holders driving trucks, buses and other large vehicles. If you are not sure whether your job requires one, ask your employer or send us a question with your inquiry.

A medical certificate can be valid for up to 24 months. Some drivers receive a shorter certificate, for example when a condition like high blood pressure needs to be checked more often.

What the exam covers

  • A review of your health history and current medications
  • Vision and hearing checks
  • Blood pressure and pulse
  • A urine test that checks for signs of health problems such as kidney issues or diabetes (this is not a drug test)
  • A general physical exam, including heart, lungs, abdomen, spine and reflexes

What to bring

  1. Your driver’s license (and CDL, if you have one)
  2. Your glasses, contacts or hearing aids if you use them
  3. A list of your medications and doses
  4. Recent records for any ongoing condition, such as diabetes, sleep apnea or a heart condition, including notes from your specialist if you have them

Bringing records ahead of time is the best way to avoid a delay or a short-term certificate.

Need a drug or alcohol test too?

Many employers ask new drivers for a pre-employment drug test in addition to the physical. We are a certified 49 CFR Part 40 collector and offer DOT and non-DOT drug and alcohol testing, so you can often take care of both in one trip. Just tell us in your inquiry so we can plan the right amount of time.

Appointments that fit a driver’s schedule

We are open Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, and Saturday and Sunday, 9 AM to 7 PM (weekends subject to availability). Visits are by appointment only, with no walk-ins, so you will not sit in a crowded waiting room. Our clinic is at 522 N Main St, Suite 1, in Donna, an easy drive from Weslaco, Alamo, Pharr, McAllen and Mercedes. Employers with several drivers can also ask about mobile visits, which we offer up to 100 miles from Donna.

Learn more on our DOT physical page, and see our pre-employment physicals for non-DOT jobs.

Flu Season in Weslaco: What an Immunity IV Drip Can (and Can’t) Do

Cooler mornings are finally here in the Valley, and so is flu season. Between school, work and holiday plans, nobody wants to lose a week to feeling run down. If you live in Weslaco, Doho Wellness Clinic is just a short drive away in Donna, and we offer Immunity IV drips and vitamin shots by appointment with a board-certified nurse practitioner.

Here’s an honest look at what these services are, who they may help, and what they can’t do.

What is an Immunity IV drip?

An Immunity drip delivers fluids plus a blend of vitamins straight into your bloodstream through a small IV. Because it skips the stomach, your body gets the fluids and vitamins right away. Your nurse practitioner will explain exactly what’s in your drip before it starts. Most drips take 45 to 60 minutes while you relax in a comfortable chair.

Who it may help

  • People who feel run down or low on energy during a busy season
  • Anyone who isn’t eating or drinking well, for example after a stomach bug, once the worst has passed
  • Busy parents, teachers, healthcare workers and shift workers who want extra support
  • People who prefer a quick vitamin boost without swallowing a handful of pills

If you don’t have an hour, a vitamin shot takes just a few minutes. Popular options for this time of year are vitamin D3, B12 and Lipo-C.

What it can’t do

An IV drip is not a flu shot, and it does not prevent or cure the flu, COVID or any other illness. The best ways to protect yourself this season are still:

  1. Get your yearly flu vaccine (ask your doctor or pharmacy).
  2. Wash your hands often and stay home when you’re sick.
  3. Sleep well, eat balanced meals and drink plenty of water.

Think of IV therapy as an elective wellness service that adds to these habits, not a replacement for them.

Safety first

Every visit starts with a short health form, vital signs and a screening by our nurse practitioner. IV therapy isn’t right for everyone, including some people with heart failure or serious kidney disease, so we check before every drip. If you have a high fever or feel very sick, book a telehealth consult first so we can guide you to the right care. IV therapy is not emergency care: if you have chest pain, trouble breathing or confusion, call 911.

Can’t come to us? We’ll come to you

We offer mobile visits up to 100 miles from Donna of our Donna clinic, which covers Weslaco, Mercedes, Alamo, Pharr, McAllen and much of the Rio Grande Valley. Book a drip at home, at the office, or for a small group before the holidays.

Doho Wellness Clinic is open Monday–Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday–Sunday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. (subject to availability), by appointment only (no walk-ins) at 522 N Main St, Suite 1, Donna, TX 78537.

Schedule your free consultation today! Interested in this service? Send us an inquiry and we’ll get back to you with our available times. By appointment only. A free consultation is available if you’d like help choosing a service. Patients receiving IV hydration or injections — new and returning — must have a current good faith exam (part of the free consultation) before treatment; it is required, not optional, and returning patients repeat it when it is no longer current. A $25 booking fee secures your appointment and is applied to your visit. We’ll send the payment link after your good faith exam (when required) and once a day and time are agreed. Please pay within 2 hours while we hold your spot — if the fee isn’t paid within 2 hours, the hold is released; just contact the clinic to set a new day and time.
